-ENAPT - Provisioning software for cable networks covering high speed internet and telephony services.
- Provisioning is the sum of activities needed to activate different network services for customers. During provisioning several network elements will be configured in order to activate the services for the customers. Depending upon different configuration factors and network elements involved the provisioning process could be simple or very complex.

- The software works with multiple and different telephony switches. It has been integrated with CS2000 from Nortel and it is in test phase with Siemens and Alcatel soft-switches.

- Explenation : Initial provisioning and authentification via the WWW.

- With SPAIN the time needed for the provisioning process could be reduced from 30 minutes to 30 seconds.
- What you need to work with SPAIN:

- The user interface has four input windows in which you can specify the customer and user data, passwords, etc.
- The installation staff doesn't require any further knowledge of network technology anymore.

SPAIN also comes with the possibility for a modem test and a interface which makes it posible to reserve IP adresses.

- MAC Manager - - an IP Address monitoring service. It uses the SNMP Protocol to survey the network at predefined time intervals and read the IP Addresses of the CPEs connected to each Cable Modem. For every IP address MAC Manager requests a SNMP answer, and afterwards filters the data keeping only the CPEs addresses. The gathered data is stored in a MySQL database.

The service has two modules:

The first one (Buffering Session) reads the CM MAC Addresses and the IP Addresses, and stores the data in a file using the date and time of the readout as name.

The second module (Updating Session) will read the data from the “Interface” directory and will transfer it into a MySQL database. This database will contain the CM MAC Addresses, the IP Addresses of each CPE and also the time interval when the addresses were used by the users possessing the CMs.

- PORTAT - Testing Software for ensuring local number portability

   When a new customer wants to keep his old phone number, thats the moment PORTAT comes into use.
   The Service will receive Testing Requests and will test if calls are terminated over bussines specific trunks. Depending on the outcome of the test the service will return a success or failure notice. It will test the phone lines only during the Porting windows. The PORTAT server needs to be equipped with four telephony.

- AMS - Monitoring of network elements (routers, switches, DHCPs). In case of an malfunction an alarm will occur via telephon, email or text message.

- AMS features:

1. Monitor network hardware (check for correct function)
a) determine ON/OFF status (working?)
b) determine if hardware data is inside predefined parameters

Network hardware: server, modems, router etc. The monitoring process uses the SNMP protocoll

2. DHCP-Server monitoring: Check if the DHCP-server is distributing IP adresses correctly

- APTS - Serverapplication for individual modem diagnosis with log feature.

APTS processes requests from technical personel which were created using different diagnosis tools via their own GUI. APTS can handle following quries:

  - modem reset
  - PING
  - CM-Values (SNR,Rx,Tx).

APTS queries are based on the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). All queries are saved in a data base. Using a cunning buffer method a great number of queries can be handled.

- DIRMAN - Server application for static IP adress placment.

DIRMAN realizes the static IP adress placement in a network.
If a customer requests a (or more) static IP adress, DIRMAN can reserve and register this adress with the respective DHCP server.
DIRMAN works completely automated and thank to an intelligent buffer it can process many requests at once.
Long periods of configuration and maintennance are needless now.

- MINTEL - Technical monitoring and protocolling software.
- Mintel is an internal server application and is used for monitoring one or several cable modems over a longer period of time.

- Mintel is connected to the TETRA GUI and can be controlled user friendly via the "monitoring-function".

You can set:

- Surveillance period
start, end und durations of the monitoring can be adjusted excactly to a second.
- monitoring type:
i.e. ping check or tx-value check

- MIRAN - Serverapplication for MAC IP and CMTS adress placing
- Miran is an application which places IP and MAC adresses for every modem which is currently conected to the cable network.

- Due to speed issues the process is first saved in a data base from where it is moved to a mapping table in the data base itself. The CM+MTA+CMTS update is done first when all incoming trunks are saved to the data base.

- The service gives allways a high priority to new incoming trunks because they have to be saved quickly, to avoid data losses. This system guarantees a short reaction time.
